Quarterly Communication

19 June 2019 · Freemasons Bayside

On the evening of Wednesday 19 June 2019, Brethren gathered at Freemasons Bayside and some designated streaming centres across the state for the June Quarterly Communication. The evening featured reports from the Board of General Purposes, Freemasons Foundation and Royal Freemasons; an Investiture was made to three incoming District Coordinators and five Brethren received recognition from the Grand Master by being awarded an Order of Service.

The Communication also unveiled some current imagery from Freemasons Melbourne in its fit-out stage which was accompanied by a speech from the Deputy Grand Master, Bro. Richard Elkington. The Grand Registrar, Bro. Ian Upjohn introduced a Notice of Motion for a proposed voting reform with the aim of maximising each member’s opportunity to vote. Another highlight of the evening was a $50,000 cheque presentation to Lions Need for Feed from the Gippsland East District, supported by the Freemasons Foundation.
