We would like to acknowledge and congratulate the Guiding Star Lodge in Ballarat who made a significant contribution to the educational needs of legatee children in the Ballarat district on 29 September 2017. The Lodge will be donating $1000 each year for 10 years to Ballarat Legacy in memory of WBro. Robin Watson, PM who was a Lodge member and a Vietnam veteran. Watson’s widow, Jan, expressed how enormously proud he would be to have the donation in his name, and that he was a great believer in education. Howard Gibbon, Legacy president, said this donation will help to support veteran families with children ranging from pre-primary to Year 12 in the Ballarat area.

Legacy is dedicated to caring for the families of deceased and incapacitated veterans. Today, Legacy’s caring and compassionate service assists around 65,000 widow(er)s and 1,800 children and dependants with a disability.
