Freemason Achieves Unique Milestone;
100 Years of Age!

  • 4 March 2019

Henry (Harry) Bowden Dickson from Berwick Balcara Lodge turned 100 on Wednesday 6 March 2019.

Harry joined Freemasonry in February 1943 at Chelsea Lodge and waited a mere 50 years before becoming Master.

The only other Degree or Order he joined is the Mark where he joined Mordialloc Mark in October 1944 and has a remained a Mark Master Mason ever since.

At that Lodge meeting on Monday 4 March, we celebrated Harry’s centenary with a cake and of course best wishes with a bit of fun.

The photo below shows Harry with a number of his Mark Brethren after blowing out the candles on his cake.

Harry has been a great supporter of Freemasonry in general and it was only in recent years (in his 90’s) that he stopped driving the tractor/mower at the South Eastern Masonic Centre.

He is a very sprightly centurion, loving a joke and enjoying everyone’s company.
