Due to her previous employment with Royal Freemasons Homes as the Executive Officer, Christina encouraged her husband, Roger Chong to become a member – a status he has been proud to claim now for the past two years. Roger and her view the Craft as life and love. She views it as a community that gives without asking for anything in return, embraces diversity, an organisation of compassion and encourages self-effort to achieve your maximum potential.
In today’s fast pace ever changing society, Christina views Freemasonry as a ‘Third Place’ for her husband who has a background in Law and is committed to his work (sometimes working very long hours). After Roger had joined Freemasonry, their bonds with those associated with Freemasonry blossomed. Her marriage was further strengthened as her relationship with Roger as husband and partner deepened due to this source of common interest. Our network of close friends expanded and we felt like we are now part of a global family.
