Australia's First Virtual Lodge Meeting

  • Thursday 31 January 2019
  • Bro. Jack Aquilina - Secretary

On Thursday 31 January 2019, the Endeavour Virtual Lodge No. 944 hosted the first virtual meeting of a Masonic Lodge in the history of not only Victorian Freemasonry but in the Southern Hemisphere.

The meeting was a great success with visitors of all ranks (including a number of Past Grand Masters) attending from all around the world. We were so honoured by not only the number of Brethren that attended but also for the warmth they conveyed to us in wishing the Lodge well. We were particularly honoured to have been visited by MWBro. Keith Murray, the Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of Victoria who demonstrated his strong support for our newly consecrated Lodge and participated enthusiastically in discussion.

The first lecture and discussion in the Endeavour Virtual Lodge's history was delivered by our Junior and Senior Wardens, VWBro. Matteo Donato and WBro. Brendan Kyne. The topic was “Freemasonry and its changes through history. Understanding Freemasonry through the context of its change and development.”

You can watch this outstanding lecture and the subsequent discussion in the video below. If you are not a member of the Lodge and want to visit or know a Brother that you would like to invite along to the next meeting, you may register your interest to visit at endeavourvirtual@gmail.com

On behalf of the Worshipful Master we thank everyone who assisted in enabling this first meeting of the Lodge to be such a huge success.
