In response to the March 2018 bushfires in the Terang, Cobden, and Camperdown areas, Freemasons Victoria launched a Bushfire Mental Health Support Program which has brought together 4 service providers, with common interest but differing service focus, to address an identified gap in the delivery of mental health support to communities in distress. The aim is to reduce the potential for self-harm and suicide in rural communities.

What do our members think?
It is about good men becoming greater men and it doesn’t discriminate, that is what I love about it. It is about putting your values into practice, and becoming the best version of yourself. I know there will always be someone there to lean on.
When I see people become actively involved, I see them really improve themselves, I’ve found them to be a lot happier members of the community, better parents, better friends, better men. That is what Freemasonry is all about.
We are simply good men seeking to make life better for ourselves, for our families, and for the broader community. Freemasonry is like a family, a special family. You adopt them, and they adopt you and you never want to let go of them.
Freemasonry has a lot to offer the world. It is an important set of principles that can make a difference in our lives, our families and our communities. Obviously we have a few elder members, but we also have a few young and inquisitive ones. The great thing is that each group helps the other to understand where Freemasonry has been and what its future holds.
Freemasons Victoria is an organisation of good men, supporting each other, their families and the community. Freemasons in Victoria have been active in the community for over 170 years, enabling personal development, creating lasting friendships, and supporting the community.
